Meagan Good Says She's Hopeful That Jonathan Majors' Career Will Be Revived
The couple announced their engagement in November.
Jonathan Majors’ assault case almost wiped out his career.
But Meagan Good thinks he’ll be okay. The Harlem actress sat down with The Associated Press, which wrote that she “is optimistic his career will regenerate.”
She also commented on the public perception that her relationship with Majors is a “publicity stunt.”
“The idea that people are like, ’Well, she got paid,” Good said, “it could be hurtful, but I just don’t care anymore. And that’s a good feeling.”
Earlier this week, the 43-year-old spoke on the experience of standing by Majors’ side during his trial. "Through the trial and everything, was there even a point in that where you were like, 'Yo, this is a lot?'" Breakfast Club host Jess Hilarious asked.
"No," Good responded. "I was talking to God and I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be. And I've learned along the way that not only will things not always make sense to me, but sometimes it won't make sense to other people, and that's okay as long as you are in alignment with God and you're trusting the path that you're on."
Good and Majors started dating in at least 2023, not long after he was arrested for physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Good was often present in the courtroom during Majors’ trial. He was ultimately found guilty of one count of reckless assault in the 3rd degree and harassment as a violation, but was acquitted on charges of assault and aggravated harassment. In 2024, he was sentenced to 52 weeks of probation and a domestic violence intervention program.
The couple has been engaged since November 2024.
