Pete Davidson Says He's Been 'Burning Off' His Tattoos
The comedian has been removing his ink for a "clean slate."
Pete Davidson is starting fresh.
The comedian appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where the host said he’d noticed that some of Davidson’s tattoos were missing.
“Yeah, I’ve been burning them off. They’re almost gone,” Davidson said.
When Fallon asked if the process is painful, Davidson responded, “It’s horrible. … Well, they gotta burn off a layer of your skin and then it has to heal for six to eight weeks and you can’t get in the sunlight. And then you gotta do it like 12 more times.”
The 31-year-old then spoke directly to the audience and joked “So really think about that Game of Thrones tattoo you’re thinking of getting, all right?”
Fallon then pulled out a photo of Pete that showed off his ink and inquired as to how many tattoos Davidson had. “Probably like 200,” he said, describing himself as a “sad boy.”
He shared that he’s getting rid of most of them except “maybe two or three.” He added, “I’m trying to clean slate it.”
At one point, among those tattoos were several tributes to Davidson’s ex-girlfriend, Kim Kardashian. They included the phrase, “My girl is a lawyer,” a reference to Kim passing the Bar exam in December 2021, and the initials of her and Ye’s four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The third tribute he had was the names Aladdin and Jasmine with an infinity sign, a nod to his and Kim’s first kiss during a 2021 SNL sketch.
Davidson reportedly had those tattoos removed in 2023. He and Kim dated from October 2021 to August 2022.
