Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Know Their Kids Live a Life of 'Luxury'
The 'Deadpool' actor explained that he and his wife grew up "very working class."
Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively are aware that their kids are growing up with more privilege than they did.
The Deadpool actor told The Hollywood Reporter that he tries to give them “as normal a life as possible” as the kids of famous movie stars.
“I try not to impose upon them the difference in their childhood to my childhood or my wife’s childhood," he said. “We both grew up very working class, and I remember when [our kids] were very young, I used to say or think, like, ‘Oh God, I would never have had a gift like this when I was a kid,’ or, ‘I never would’ve had this luxury of getting takeout,’ or whatever."
Reynolds told the outlet that he knows his kids can “empathize” with others, which he thinks means he and his wife are "doing an OK job."
“But yes, it’s different,” he explained. “When I was a kid, you would just suck it up, get out of the house and be back by sundown, which I just can’t even imagine now.”
Reynolds and Lively married in 2012 and now share four children: 10-year-old daughter James, 8-year-old daughter Inez, 5-year-old daughter Betty, and 1-year-old son Olin.
