Theo Von addressed the war in Palestine, calling it a “genocide” and stating that the U.S is “complicit.”

The viral clip is from an episode of his podcast, This Past Weekend w/ Theo Von, which aired on May 10.

"It feels to me like it's a genocide that's happening while we're alive," Von said in the video. "You see all these photos of people, just children, women, people, body parts just, people putting their kids back together. I just can't believe that we're watching that and that more isn't said about it.”

“I'm not saying anyone else needs to say anything,” he continued, “I just, I wanna be able to speak about that. … I don't even know what to do. And it's crazy because our country's also complicit in it and has been for a long time.”

"Then you just realize ‘I'm a member of this country, but what we want sometimes doesn't matter,’" he added. "You just have to be a member of a place and your government is making other choices."

According to Newsweek, the comedian and podcaster politically identifies as a centrist. He has close ties to the Trump family, attending Donald Trump's inauguration and accompanying the president on his Middle East Tour, which included visiting Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.

Von was also recently photographed with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, as pointed out by Zack Fox. The actor, comedian, and DJ took to his Instagram Story to share a screenshot of Von having dinner with Ivanka and Jared, which she posted on X on May 14.

“Miami looked good on you @TheoVon! Come back and visit us soon!” Ivanka wrote.

“What are we doing” bitch asked them not us,” Fox wrote on his IG Story. He then pointed out that Kushner is one of the people playing a role in advocating for resorts to be built in Gaza.

In another post to Fox’s IG Story, he wrote, “Don’t let this piece of tornado bait fool you he be blowing hookah smoke and doing key bumps with Trump, his family, and some of the literal architects of the genocide he’s fake crying about.”

Both Trump and Kushner have shared ideas of turning Gaza into an international beach resort. Last year, Kushner broached the topic during an event at Harvard, saying, "Gaza's waterfront property, it could be very valuable, if people would focus on building up livelihoods," per Reuters.
