Tyrese Says His Shannon Sharpe Interview Will Do ‘Katt Williams Numbers’
Katt Williams' conversation with Shannon Sharpe has amassed 73 million views since January.
Tyrese swears his Club Shay Shay interview will break the internet—just like Katt Williams did.
“If Shannon Sharpe is willing to air that entire episode, we gonna do some Katt Williams numbers,” Tyrese said in a clip posted to social media. “That ain’t even a bar. Katt Williams a legend. I call him Prophet Williams.”
Tyrese’s conversation with Sharpe has hit the internet in full, and as of this writing, the video has amassed just over 80,000 views in three hours. In comparison, Williams’ explosive interview from the top of the year has racked up 73 million views in seven months. Williams' chat with Sharpe made headlines for months, as he called out almost everybody in comedy and entertainment, including Steve Harvey, Cedric the Entertainer, Kevin Hart, and Tiffany Haddish, among others.

During Tyrese and Sharpe’s two-and-a-half hour conversation, the pair discuss the singer and actor’s forthcoming album, Beautiful Pain, his film career, marriage and relationships, and his recent revelation that his mother made him fake a mental disability to collect a check from the government.
Off-camera, Tyrese also joked about the setting in which their conversation was taking place, which wasn’t on Shannon’s usual brown leather couches. “Everybody get leather seats and then I get cotton seats,” Tyrese said, laughing.
