When perusing the Amazon bookstore, you might find a few different results for a best-selling book. A search for The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo might turn up the hilariously titled I Am The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. You and I might know the difference, but some sorry sap is gonna buy the wrong one on accident.

Apparently, this has become a bit of a trend and the knockoff books have even, at times, sold a comparable number of copies to the real thing, like Steve Jobs by Isaac Worthington, the Canal Street version of Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Perhaps the funniest part of the whole scheme? Amazon has inadvertently aided the whole operation, as almost all of the counterfeits are made through CreateSpace, Amazon’s self-publishing platform.
