Though millions of women around the world were skeptical of the news, 52-year-old George Clooney is reported to be officially engaged to 36-year-old British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

The engagement buzz began when Alamuddin was spotted wearing a giant rock on her ring finger while at dinner with Clooney and super couple Cindy Crawford and Rande Gerber on Thursday in Malibu, Calif.

This will be Alamuddin's first marriage and Clooney's second. Clooney was once married to actress Talia Balsam from 1989 to 1993.
