Last summer Disney announced a Han Solo spin-off from filmmaking pair Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, who are known for other projects like 21 Jump Street and The Lego Movie. The news of the spin-off had one major question on everyone's mind: who would fill Harrison Ford's shoes as Han Solo? Last thing we knew Dave Franco and Miles Teller were leading contenders among the handful of young stars on the Han Solo shortlist, which has reportedly been narrowed down to just three actors. While there are still no reports of an official casting choice, Screen Crushconfirms that Teller auditioned for the upcoming Han Solo project. He also may have been slightly under prepared.

Teller appeared on the Happy Sad Confused podcast where he first discussed the problems with last year's Fantastic Four reboot. He believed the film was "unjustly critiqued" in some ways and commented on the movie's script, which went through several changes during production.

Moving on to topic of Han SoloTeller confirmed his rumored appearance on the shortlist when he discussed his audition for the role. Before singing the praise of Harrison Ford, Teller admits that he hadn't seen the older Star Wars films with a young Ford until pretty recently.

The lesson learned is to always do your homework, especially when it involves following Harrison Ford's footsteps. The untitled film will also contain Chewbacca's origin story and comes out in 2018.
