This Ball Is Actually a Spider Robot in Disguise (That Michael Bay Would Love)

Norwegian engineer Kåre Halvorsen created this frightening unique robot that walks around on four legs, and then pulls those legs into itself to morph into a ball that can roll around in different directions (and chase after its prey.) The robot, called MorpHex, is split into various sections that have two motors each — it's a nice little bundle of power.

At least we know that in the future, death has an equal chance of coming from the ground as it does coming from the drones in the skies.
