Ex-spouses Cory Hardict and Tia Mowry found post-divorce healing in their own ways, but it's imperative for both actors to keep their family ties strong.

Hardict, who most recently starred in Tyler Perry-directed drama Divorce in the Black, was a guest on the latest episode of The Pivot Podcast, where the topic of his split from Mowry came up around the 24-minute mark. The former couple, who were married from 2008 to 2023, share a 13-year-old son, Cree, and a six-year-old daughter, Cairo.

Pivot co-host Ryan Clark asked Hardict about his involvement in co-parenting and how it's been "adapting" to this new chapter with Mowry.

"Everything is about the kids, you know, their well-being, their future and just co-parenting," Hardict said. And keeping it still a family, and keeping it love-based, still keeping God first at the center of everything, and just walking with love, man, that's all it's about."

"I wish her the best with everything," he continued. "And that's unconditional for me. I love unconditionally. I can't get caught up in what's going on out there, what people are saying. I just know where my heart is at and I have to continue to move that way because I want all my blessings for me. And if I succeed, she succeeds, our kids succeed.

"So I have no room for failure, no room for mistakes right now in my life. That's how I look at it." Hardict concluded.

Hardict and Mowry had an unexpected but loving run-in at the Essence Black Women in Hollywood Awards in March and have faced their divorce through entertainment. While Hardict played a character in the throes of a divorce in the aforementioned Tyler Perry flick, Mowry currently stars in We TV reality show Tia Mowry: My Next Act.

In a sneak peek from the series, Mowry revealed that one of the "hardest" things that's changed about being a mother is adapting to her children being split between two households.

"I've always wanted the family dynamic of having a mom and a dad in one household. And when you're dropping your kids off you actually visually see how that is no longer," she said around the 4:25 minute mark of the video below.

"Being alone has been the most challenging part of my divorce," she continued.
