Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin have reportedly split after nearly a decade together.

After the couple spent eight years together, People reported on Wednesday (June 4) that the Madame Web actress and Coldplay frontman have broken up. One source told the outlet that Johnson and Martin's split "feels final this time" after the exes dodged previous breakup rumors.

Last year, it was revealed that Johnson and Martin had been engaged for years after they began dating in 2017. While Johnson has never been married, Martin was married to Gwyneth Paltrow from 2003 to 2016, and the former spouses share two children, Apple, 21, and Moses, 19.

Johnson, who's currently doing press for her upcoming romantic comedy Materialists, has made no mention of her breakup in interviews but briefly discussed relationships in a recent Los Angeles Times article.

"For a long time we’ve all been so quick to judge relationships or how they should happen, how they should exist in the world," she told the publication. "When people should get married. Divorce is bad. All these things that actually, if you think about it, why is divorce bad?"

She continued, "Why do people have to get married or at a certain age or only once? Why? It doesn’t matter."
