Keanu Reeves Doesn't Know If His 'Knees' Can Handle a 'John Wick 5'
The actor discussed whether he'd be up for more 'John Wick' stunts in a fifth installment.
Could Keanu Reeves physically handle a fifth John Wick installment?
To promote his latest flick, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, the 60-year-old actor and Sonic director Jeff Fowler appeared on CBS Mornings earlier this month, and was asked about whether he'd return to the John Wick series. The most recent film, John Wick: Chapter 4, was released last March.
Around the five-minute mark, Reeves answered whether he'd be interested in another John Wick.
"You can never say never, but my knees right now are saying, 'You can't do another John Wick,'" Reeves joked. "So my heart does, but I don't know if my knees can do it."
"Which is why you can voice Shadow for, like, decades to come. There are no physical limitations, just your voice!" Fowler suggested, to which Keanu said, "I'm free!"
Reeves also discussed the physical challenges of starring as Wick before, especially during a 10th-anniversary screening of the inaugural film, where he alluded to vomiting during shoots.
"I had so many wonderful teachers and guidance and worked with so many talented actors, actresses and stunt people in the sense of it's such a dance and collaboration and cooperation," he said at the time. "So there's a couple of times where you throw up or puke or whatever, but that's what makes it good!"
The actor has claimed to do between 90 to 95 percent of his own John Wick stunts, while the franchise's director, Chad Stahelski, was Reeves' stuntman double in The Matrix.
