Love Island USA's JaNa Craig Calls Reason for Kenny Rodriguez Split 'Disgusting'

UPDATED 7/29, 6:35 p.m. ET: Kenny Rodriquez has responded to JaNa Craig announcing their split, calling the days leading up to the breakup "incredibly difficult."

"I've been quietly sitting with a lot of emotions and doing my best to process everything privately," Rodriquez wrote in his Instagram Stories on Tuesday (July 29).

"Breakups are never easy," he continued. "Especially in the public eye. Sometimes, despite how deeply you care for someone, you come to the hard truth that the relationship was not something that could last long-term."

Rodriquez called himself "grateful" for the time and shared with Craig, and added that he's come "release this chapter with no ill will." "Only a hope that JaNa's path forward brings her nothing but happiness," he concluded.

Despite Rodriquez's fond words for Craig, she hit back in another Instagram Stories post, calling her ex-boyfriend a "manipulative liar."

"You not taking any accountability and telling people the type of person you really are is insane to me!!" Craig wrote. "My first statement was me being nice. Do not piss me off."

While the saga between the exes continue, specifics about their breakup will possibly come out soon. Their friend group also seems to have unraveled, with former Love Island USA cast mates Leah Kateb and Serena Page unfollowing Rodriquez on Instagram.

Love Island USA star JaNa Craig took to Instagram on Tuesday to break her silence regarding the many theories that have proliferated across social media about why she and Kenny Rodriguez broke up. Craig said that the truth behind their split was even more "disgusting and disappointing" than what has been theorized online among fans of the popular show.

"Hi my loves... Thank you for all your love & support. It means the world to me," Craig opened her message. "As you know, Kenny and I are no longer
together. Please know that I have seen all the breakup theories and none have matched up to how terrible, disgusting and disappointing it truly is."

She continued, "Discovering that someone you loved isn't who you thought they were and that the relationship you thought you were building hasn't been genuine since day one has been truly devastating. Thank you for respecting my privacy and please know as a child of God, I will always be okay."

According to a TMZ report from Sunday (July 27), a source close with the former couple confirmed that they're no longer dating shortly after the two attended David Dobrik’s birthday party together.

Craig and Rodriguez became a match in the villa and placed third during season six of Love Island USA, although contestants Serena Page and Kordell Beckham were crowned the winners. Standing in solidarity with Craig after the breakup were her fellow "PPG" members Page and Leah Kateb, also formerly of Love Island, all of whom have unfollowed Rodriguez on Instagram.

The exes starred on recent Love Island spinoff Beyond the Villa, where Craig showed an urgency to move in together while Rodriguez wanted to continue living separately.
