Michael B. Jordan Stars as Twins Who Face Bloodthirsty Vampires in 'Sinners' Trailer
'Sinners' marks Jordan's fourth film project with director Ryan Coogler.
Michael B. Jordan doubles up with his "twin" (both played by the actor) against evil in the second trailer of the upcoming vampire thriller Sinners.
As seen in the video above, the twin characters and fellow Black Southerners encounter what appears to be white vampires (played by Hailee Steinfeld and Jack O'Connell) at a jukejoint in 1930s New Orleans. At a later point in the trailer, Steinfeld's character prepares to take a bite out of one of the twins, who tries to enter the jukejoint while characters played by Delroy Lindo, Wunmi Mosaku, Jayme Lawson, and Li Jun Li stand guard.
"Trying to leave their troubled lives behind, twin brothers return to their hometown to start again, only to discover that an even greater evil is waiting to welcome them back," reads the official synopsis.
Sinners, which makes its theatrical release on April 18, 2025, follows previous Jordan and Coogler collaborations Creed, Black Panther, and Fruitvale Station, all released in the 2010s. Jordan briefly returned as Erik Killmonger in the 2022 Marvel blockbuster Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, which Coogler also directed.
In a virtual press conference for the trailer, per The Hollywood Reporter, Coogler called the movie "very genre fluid." "It switches in and out of a lot of different genres. Yes vampires are an element, but it’s not the only supernatural element in the movie. The film is about more than just that."
