One year after the sudden death of her younger brother, Blaize Pearman, actress Raven-Symoné has sadly lost another family member, her father and early mentor, Christopher B. Pearman.

While the former That's So Raven didn't disclose details about her father's passing, on Tuesday (October 1st), she shared a childhood photo of herself, Pearlman and a woman whose identity she did not share.

"My life has been long and abundant. And the path I’m on started with a dream. Hope he is watching with a smile on his face… 🕊️#christopherbpearman," Symoné captioned the post.

Alongside his wife and Symoné's mother, Lydia Gaulden, Pearman welcomed Symone on December 10, 1985, and it was just four years later that the actress would get her start in television, being cast in The Cosby Show. Pearman would also become his daughter's manager when she was three, before the actress asked to manage herself once she was an adult.

"She got to a point, you know, she said, 'Daddy, I can run my own company. I can run my own thing' a few years ago,” Pearlman told NPR in 2010. “And I'm like, 'You know, you have the tools.'"

In addition to formerly managing Symoné, Pearlman was a media professional who attended Georgia State University before beginning his career in public relations and advertising. He also directed a few episodes of That's So Raven.

Last December, Symoné's younger brother, Blaize Pearman, died from colon cancer at 31 years old. The actress confirmed the news in an Instagram reel while thanking her followers for their birthday wishes, as her 38th birthday was on 10, just six days before her brother's.

"It was a little bittersweet for me to be honest because last month I lost my brother, Blaize," she said in the clip below. "He was battling colon cancer for about two years and he is in a better place now. He's loved and missed and the emotions that have been weaving in and out of my body and mind and my family, have been a roller coaster."
