Actor Samuel L. Jackson looks back on Pulp Fiction as one of the most iconic films he's been a part of.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Quentin Tarantino-directed flick, on Monday (October 14), the 75-year-old posted a photo carousel from behind-the-scenes and during the 1994 Cannes Film Festival.

"PULP FICTION is 30! This movie launched like a rocket out of Cannes and changed my life," Jackson wrote. "It debuted in theaters on this day in 1994 and I’ll always remember the audience reaction. I knew this film was something special after that…AND 30 YEARS LATER, IT STILL IS."

Considered Tarantino's breakout film, Pulp Fiction won the Palme d'Or at Cannes and later grossed $9.3 million domestically in its first week, earning nearly $213 million worldwide. Alongside Jackson in Pulp Fiction were John Travolta, Bruce Willis, Uma Thurman, Ving Rhames, Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel, Christopher Walken and more.

A screening for Pulp Fiction was held in April, where the main cast reunited at TCM Classic Film Festival at the TCL Chinese Theatre, although Willis, who was diagnosed with dementia last year, was not present. On the red carpet, Variety's Marc Malkin spoke to the cast about their favorite memories of Willis, and Jackson shared that the actor told him their 1995 action movie Die Hard with a Vengeance would make him "a star."

On Pulp Fiction itself, Jackson explained to Variety that the opportunity was life-changing. "It changed my life drastically in that this was the particular role where all of a sudden people started thinking I was the coolest motherfucker on the planet," he said.
