UPDATED 7/15, 7:35 a.m. ET: The UNO team has offered an apology to those excited about word that one of its Social Clubs was set to open in Las Vegas.

As it turns out, a lack of security is said to be holding up the would-be launch.

“We hate to be the bearers of bad news but the casino floor isn't ready for us yet,” reads a statement shared to Instagram Monday night. “We've been told that while they do have tight security, it's not robust enough for UNO at this time. This isn't a Reverse card. While we get this sorted out, the UNO Social Club is rolling out to bars in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, Atlanta and Austin this August.”

Game night classic UNO will soon have a dedicated chain of social clubs, starting with a Las Vegas location.

As reported by Newsweek, planned UNO Social Clubs will be opening nationwide, with its first site being at Vegas' Palms Casino Resort. In May, Mattel held a contest for or one lucky winner to receive a free stay at the resort, where they and a guest could enjoy "a technicolor suite drenched in the brand's iconic red, yellow, blue, and green colors, packed with UNO-themed features, including a private bowling alley and game-inspired décor."

With the first UNO Social Club opening this week, guests can hit the card game-themed tables where they'll meet private UNO dealers who will mix decks "in style." Decks will include variations of the classic game, like UNO Golf, UNO Teams, and UNO Show 'em No Mercy.

No gambling though, as this is a family-friendly affair!

Additional UNO Social Clubs will expand nationwide later this year, transforming experiences in bars and nightclubs. "Each event will transform everyday hotspots into the ultimate game night destination with UNO-themed drink menus, tournament-style play, photo moments, and more," Palms stated in a press release.

The card game will assuredly remain a staple for those who choose to play at home as the self-proclaimed "America's favorite game," as more than 150 million copies have been sold globally.
