Don't mistake Zoë Kravitz as a bitter ex; the actress-director has nothing but positive feelings for her ex-fiancé Channing Tatum.

Six months after Tatum starred as antagonist Slater King in Kravitz's directorial debut Blink Twice, Kravitz briefly spoke about their time working on the film in a new interview with Elle. When asked if the breakup made her feel harshly about Tatum being in the mystery thriller, Kravitz said it had the opposite effect.

"Not at all. I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much," she said. "Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened."

Kravitz continued, "I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together."

The Big Little Lies star also commended her ex for having "a lot to offer" in entertainment and shared that she's "excited for people to keep witnessing that."

"He has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him," Kravitz said.

Kravitz and Tatum reportedly began dating in August 2021, two years after the latter finalized his divorce from Jenna Dewan, whom he shares an 11-year-old daughter with. Kravitz and Tatum became engaged in 2023 but broke up the following October.

In 2019, Kravitz married actor Karl Glusman before filing for divorce the following year. After four years of dating and 18 months of marriage, their divorce was finalized in August 2021.
