George Nolfi Attached To Direct Facebook Thriller "XOXO"

According to Variety, George Nolfi (The Adjustment Bureau) has been hired by Lionsgate to direct and oversee a rewrite of the Darren Aronofsky-produced social media thriller, XOXO. Based on a spec script by Black Swan writer Mark Heyman, this project will explore the dark side of anonymous Facebook relationships.

The movie will focus on a young, married executive who also has a flirtatious relationship with a woman he met online. As the two begin communicating back and forth, the relationship starts to affect the man's life in a deadly way. The article states that the studio is looking into ways to give the movie a stylized presentation in order to make the digital relationship more cinematic.
