Brad Pitt's absence from his $5.5 million home has been no secret. The actor has been overseas, promoting his new racing movie F1.

On Monday, June 23, Pitt and his girlfriend hit the red carpet in London.

It appears a group of thieves took advantage of that.

The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA that authorities are looking for three suspects who "climbed over a front fence and ransacked" Pitt's mansion in Los Feliz, CA.

The burglary occurred around 10:30 p.m. on June 25, KTLA reported, adding that the burglars "took an unknown amount of miscellaneous property." The specific nature of that property was not clear, nor was the value. The burglars entered through a front window, the Associated Press reported.

Pitt's mansion has been dubbed "The Steel House," and it contains "solar panels, an expansive outdoor pool and a built-in sauna, among other luxuries," according to Page Six.

Pitt has not commented on the burglary.

According to TODAY, the heist comes amid a "growing" string of burglaries targeting celebrities, such as Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Travis Kelce, and Patrick Mahomes. There was also an incident in May, when a man crashed through the gates of Pitt's ex-wife Jennifer Aniston's home. In that incident, the actress was at home, and the man was arrested.

Meanwhile, according to the Formula 1 website, Pitt was also busy driving a real race car recently.

Pitt "has now gotten behind the wheel of a Formula 1 car for real, with the actor recently getting to drive a 2023 McLaren at the Circuit of The Americas," the website said in a statement. That race track is in Austin, TX.

"I got to hit 197mph this week. I really wanted to hit 200," Pitt said on the Beyond the Grid podcast.
