'Love Island' Star 'Hurricane Huda' Mustafa Has a Big Defender: Her Daughter's Dad
Huda has provoked controversy on the show.
Every reality show needs a villain, and, fair or not, Huda Mustafa has become the lightning rod contestant on Love Island USA's season 7.
Episode 14 was no different on Tuesday, June 17 — it featured a lot of drama between "Hurricane Huda" and love interest Jeremiah Brown, and a surprise at the doors. Whether it's the constant tears or just the endless emotional upheaval, Huda is controversial, to say the least.
However, one man who knows Mustafa well is speaking out, and he's defending her.
Noah Sheline is the 25-year-old father of Huda's child, according to People. They are the parents of Arleigh, 4.
On June 16, he responded to the backlash against Huda on his TikTok page.
"At the end of the day, I hope everyone remembers we're human,” he wrote on his TikTok Story, according to People. "Her going on that show to find love, or whatever you think it was she’s doing, remember she’s still human, she has a daughter, and a life.”
The story is no longer visible on his page. A TikTok user also preserved it, praising Sheline for the message. He frequently posts videos with his daughter on TikTok, but turned off comments on his latest videos.
Sheline labeled the hate being directed at Mustafa as unhealthy and wrote, “She’s maybe not doing a great job idk I don’t watch the show but I don’t like that I’m seeing so much negative s--- on my page or even clips of it about her."
He added, according to People and the TikTok screenshot:
“It’s not my job to police her or the people in my comments, but I will say what you guys do will affect her mental health and my daughter’s maybe in the future. So I’m looking out for her in that aspect. Out of respect for our daughter," he said.
“It’s crazy I have to involve myself in this, but I don’t want my daughter’s mom to get out and see this, and her mental health goes down a hill,” the post continued. “For people who have been respectful and nice and defending her as a mother, thank you! She tries just as much as any other young parent in this world.”
Sheline's Instagram page is also filled with photos of the child.
