In a conversation with Complex, Jonathan Majors reflected on previously unheard audio, obtained by Rolling Stone, in which the actor appeared to admit to having “aggressed” then-girlfriend Grace Jabbari following a fight in 2022.

When asked about the audio, Majors said he can't “speak to it,” but repeatedly stated he continues to “do my work,” alluding to the “work” he's put in to address the issues brought up in the recording.

Majors was ordered by a judge to complete a 52-week domestic violence intervention program after being found guilty of misdemeanor assault and harassment of his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. Soon after, he was dropped by Marvel. The actor played the character of Kang the Conqueror and his variants in the Disney+ series Loki and the film Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. Majors' sentencing in the assault case included no jail time.

“I was so grateful that I had done my work, you know? And I’m continuing to do my work,” Majors continued. “Because, I mean, I can’t speak to it. But obviously—because you’re talking about it. There were vibrations, you know? Reverberations. Same as everything before, you know? But I was just—I was happy I’d done my work, you know? I was happy I had done my work.”

In the unearthed audio, the actor can be heard expressing remorse over an incident that occurred while the two were living together in London as he filmed the second season of the Disney+ series Loki. “I’m ashamed I’ve ever— ,“ he starts, before cutting himself off. “I’ve never [been] aggressive with a woman before. I’ve never aggressed a woman — I aggressed you.”

“You strangled me and pushed me against the car,” Jabbari can be heard interjecting.

“Yes, all those things are under ‘aggressed,’ yeah,” Majors responded. “That’s never happened to me.”

Majors previously addressed the audio during an appearance on the talk show Sherri.

“God has a plan and sometimes you just throw your hands up,” he said while speaking to Sherri Shepherd. “I can’t speak about it, but I do know there’s a plan and I’ve let go of control. I just say, ‘Whatever it is, it is.'”

Majors is currently promoting his Magazine Dreams film, which is now out in theaters. The film was directed by Elijah Bynum and also stars Taylour Paige, Harrison Page, Haley Bennett, Harriet Sansom Harris, and Mike O'Hearn. The film follows the story of aspiring bodybuilder Killian Maddox, who is played by Majors.

In other news, Majors married actress Meagan Good in an intimate ceremony earlier this month.

The pair announced their engagement at the EBONY Power 100 Gala in November.
