Report: Alleged Secret Service Calls to Kai Cenat Not Related to Kamala Harris Campaign
"I don't know goddamn sh*t about politics," Cenat said in a recent stream.
Did Kamala Harris’ campaign reach out to Kai Cenat about the possibility of the Democratic presidential nominee appearing on his stream? According to a recent TMZ report, that's (allegedly) not the case.
During a recent livestream, Cenat repeatedly slammed his hand on a table while claiming he's received five calls from Secret Service.
"I don't know goddamn shit about politics, my n***a," the 22-year-old explained. "I don't know nothing."
Cenat went on to say he reconnected with someone who he had been pursuing for quite some time after the two had not spoken in about a year.
"I haven't spoken to this girl in so goddamn long who had the audacity to text me, 'We need you a part of the campaign,'" he recalled.
Cenat admittedly thought this person was referring to a video game or clothing campaign at first, but it was eventually confirmed to be a political campaign.
While the streamer did not disclose the campaign, people initially believed it was Harris since her team could potentially be looking for such a link-up following Donald Trump’s appearance on Adin Ross’ Kick stream.
A subsequent report from TMZ disputes this interpretation, with a source claiming that “no one” from Harris’ campaign has spoken with Cenat.
Furthermore, it’s alleged in the report that there have not been any conversations about a possible Cenat and Harris pairing among campaign staff.
If TMZ’s source is speaking with accuracy, Cenat has instead been pursued by a third-party group informally involved with the upcoming Democratic National Convention. Those alleged talks, notably, are said to have first began before Harris became the nominee following Biden's exit from the election.
Meanwhile, Charlamagne tha God recently offered his take on the Kai and Kamala situation, suggesting the linkup between the two would be inorganic since Kai is not known for political commentary.
As for that Ross and Trump moment, it's drummed up some controversy over the streamer's gifts to the former POTUS. Ross was previously reported to have presented Trump with a Rolex Day Date and Tesla Cybertruck, which may have violated Federal Election Campaign regulations. Ross also asked the Republican presidential nominee about the artist formerly known as Kanye West and praised him for taking "a bullet for everyone" during a Pennsylvania rally that left one attendee dead.
