Ray J recently spoke with Cam Newton about his infamous sex tape with Kim Kardashian that was released nearly two decades ago.

"That was probably the worst thing that's ever happened to me, if you look from then to now," he tells Newton on his show. "It's the worst thing that's ever been put on my name. It's the most disgusting, the most illegal, and the most distasteful when you have a daughter."

Ray J and Princess Love welcomed their first child together, a daughter, in 2018.

In the interview, the singer and reality TV star appears to suggest that he wants the Kardashian family to disclose something for the sake of his daughter.

"Only anxiety I feel is, like, yo, it's so simple. Just tell n****s what happened, and I can walk away," he said. "That's all you gotta do. And I'm talking to the family. Just tell n****s what happened. I don't want no money or nothing. Keep your money. Just tell n****s, man, so my daughter's good."

In the 2016 book Kardashian Dynasty, author Ian Halperin alleges the sex tape was "a complete set up to become famous," orchestrated by Kim and momager Kris Jenner. According to the Daily Mail, Ray J fanned the flames of speculation the following year when he delivered a cryptic response to a question about Kim being "obsessed with fame."

"I only did my part [in making her famous]," he said at the time. "As a man, I tried to play my part in the situation. If you're intelligent you can read between the lines."

Without any context, Ray also applauded Kris for being "a real, true hustler."

"We're talking about a family of fuckery," Ray J told Newton while speaking about the aftermath of his sex tape. The 44-year-old also implied there are assassins who could be called on in order to "protect a certain billion dollar brand."

"I'm in contracts with these motherfuckers. Like, I don't supposed to say none of this," Ray J added. "And I'm not in contracts for that. I'm in contracts for what I'm doing now. To shut the fuck up, and be quiet. Shut the fuck up. You know what it is. Here, be quiet. No, n***a, keep your money. And that’s where I’m at today."

Ray J even asked Newton at one point in the conversation when the interview was going to drop because he would need to go into hiding.
