Yesterday, a Colorado judge ruled that the state's same-sex marriage ban is unconstitutional.

The Denver Post that Adams County District Court Judge C. Scott Crabtree issued a 49-page ruling which declared that the ban lacks any "rational relationship to any conceivable government interest":

Sandra Abbott told the Post she and her partner were "ecstatic" at Crabtree's ruling. Abbott and her partner were among nine couples who filed a lawsuit arguing that the ban violated the U.S. Constitution.

With Crabtree's decision, Colorado becomes the 16th state to have their gay marriage ban dismissed.
