If you want your marijuana to have weed in it, it looks like you'll be forced to buy the real thing.

The Daily News is proudly reporting that the New York Department of Health is preparing a statewide band on synthetic marijuana—ASAP. Though the DOH has been quiet about an actual ban, Gov. Andrew Cuomo did share this with the eager publication:

While an order mandating that the sale and distribution "cease immediately," state legislation to ban it, and any similar products, is still pending. The reasons synthetic marijuana has become such a big deal is the list of negative side effects, which include nausea, vomiting, hypertension, increased heart rate and paranoia.

In the meantime, plenty of regular marijuana will continue to be smoked.
