President Obama Endorses Same-Sex Marriage

In an interview with ABC’s Robin Roberts, President Obama announced that he now supports same-sex marriage. Calling his change of heart an “evolution,” Obama referenced chats with his own staff members, openly gay and lesbian members of the military, and his own family as the triggers for his decision:

It should be noted that President Obama stated that this is his own personal opinion; he still supports the concept of states reaching their own conclusion on the issue. Like those jackasses in North Carolina did. Portions of the full interview will air tonight on World News with Diane Sawyer.
