Subway Issues Apology for Shorting Customers

Coming clean is the best thing to do.

After lawsuits, tears, and deception, Subway has apologized for serving "$5 Footlongs" that were shorter than a foot. Yesterday, they issued an official statement from their headquarters in Connecticut, apologizing to loyal customers for coming up short.

In an effort to make it up to customers, they've promised to prepare sandwiches that will measure a complete foot in length, each time out:

This should bring an abrupt end to the lawsuits, even though they're more about money than people actually feeling deceived about the length of a sandwich.
