Wendy's can rejoice following their latest triumph—they've surpassed Burger King on the fast food chain. According to a upcoming report from Technomic, Wendy’s narrowly edged out BK to become the second biggest fast food establishment in the country, generating $8.5 million in sales last year. The King earned a respectable $8.4 million.

Despite the new information, Burger King is still second worldwide and has more restaurants than Wendy’s. Regardless, this is all truly just a race for second place, because we know who the real king is. Yeah, McDonald’s made just over $34 billion in the U.S. alone last year.
