The President of Marvel Is Here for Ronda Rousey as Captain Marvel

About a month ago champion fighter and IRL superhero Ronda Rousey said in a Reddit AMA she wanted to be Captain Marvel. It didn't take long for the fan art to start flooding in and for the Internet to light up with wild possibilities. Today IGN interviewed Marvel President Kevin Feige​, and when asked about Rousey's Marvel campaign, he said "I love it."

Regarding her acting experience (she was wonderful in this year's Furious 7, and can also be seen in Expendables 3 and Entourage), Fiege said:

The film is slated for a Nov. 2, 2018 release, and the casting won't happen until next year, but this gives us plenty of hope. Will Ronda Rousey be cast as Captain Marvel for real for real? Can't think of anyone better for the role.
