Forget what you’ve heard—there’s more than one way to do Las Vegas. The city offers many attractions and activities for every age and price point. Today’s Las Vegas has more range than you know because the “Sin City” days are so yesteryear.

Whether you think a perfect trip is rest, thrill-seeking, or other unforgettable experiences, Vegas has the material. It’s time to choose a new adventure in the Sports and Entertainment Capital of the World. And keep in mind—what happens in Vegas stays between you and who you create memories with!

Here are some highlights to shape an itinerary that spans Downtown, the Strip, and beyond:

The Strip

Would you believe you can bungee jump off the highest platform in the country, get silly in an Adult Bounce House, and party under the stars—all on the Vegas Strip? This famous stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard has escapades that go far beyond trying your luck on the casino floor.

Consider the SkyJump at the STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower, so hardcore it’s in The Guinness Book of World Records! The SkyJump is an 829-ft leap that you’ll never forget from the highest hotel in Vegas (a safely controlled fall, of course). If your crew prefers the scene without the screams, it’s free to take in stunning 360-degree views of Las Vegas via The STRAT Tower, the tallest freestanding observation deck in the U.S.

After returning to Earth, get into some shenanigans at PLAY Playground at the Luxor Hotel & Casino. Billed as Vegas’ “Most Playful Bar,” this is 15,000 sq. ft. of interactive, fun! There are no virtual reality, augmented reality, or arcade games, so just imagine being in your immersive game show, complemented by adventurous drinks that are just as playful. PLAY Playground allows ages 13-plus until 7 p.m., when the vibe flips to 21 and up for those who can enjoy their fun without a curfew.

No dress code. No doormen. No problem! For a pool party vibe that doesn’t involve getting in water with hundreds of strangers, Carnaval Court at Harrah’s Las Vegas is a blast. This outdoor bar is home to a casual party under the stars featuring the most entertaining bartenders, live music, and nightly drink specials.

Off-Strip

The Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, also known as Mount Charleston, is where the locals go for a respite from the neon lights. They also come for the majestic scenery, unique to each season. In less than an hour from the Strip, you can take in the natural splendor of fall foliage, spring wildflowers, or a winter wonderland with snow-capped peaks. Mount Charleston is also home to more than 25 endemic plant and animal species, meaning there’s flora and fauna that can’t be found anywhere else in the world.

And while Mount Charleston can be peaceful and mellow, adventure-seekers will find it an excellent place for biking, off-roading, horseback riding, and even encountering wild burros. There are also ravines, trailheads, nearly 200 campsites, amphitheaters, and picnic areas for large and small groups, making Mount Charleston a good idea for families, friend trips, couples’ getaways, or whatever the vibe.

Downtown

If you’re looking for a Vegas experience that’s not quite as rural as the mountains, then the Las Vegas Arts District is a hidden gem you should check out. It’s an 18-block hub with local character and street art, providing a haven for the visual and performing arts. Hop on the free Downtown Loop shuttle, and in no time you’ll be awash in breweries, coffee shops, craft cocktail bars, funky boutiques, and antique shops—and of course, art. There are free studios and galleries to explore, as well as performing arts spaces to see talent a bit more eccentric than the typical glossy Vegas residencies.

Come during First Friday, and you can also enjoy a block party/arts fest. First Friday is a free monthly event that showcases local artists, musicians, and makers, along with food trucks and live music. It’ll show you another side of Vegas, one that celebrates culture, community, and creativity.

No matter what you get into, however you choose to do Las Vegas is the right way to do Las Vegas!
