McDonald’s has unveiled a surprise Happy Meal collaboration straight from the 1990s, making it a dream come true for anyone who grew up in that decade.

The fast food giant unveiled a “fandom fusion of epic proportions” with an exclusive collab called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Hello Kitty and Friends Happy Meal. The Happy Meal includes 12 different figurines, which are a fusion of the characters in a dozen unique toys, as well as character cards revealing their unique skills and story.

McDonald’s corporate site likened the mashup to “Donatello with a dash of Cinnamoroll, or Kuromi rocking Michelangelo’s fierce attitude. These collabs are bursting with a whole new personality and power!” The retailer calls this limited-time collection “a must-have for fans of all ages.”

On that same day, the restaurant will also launch its new McDonaldland Meal. This new menu item will be inspired by the “mystical world” the retailer first created way back in 1971, reports the company’s corporate site.

“Over the past few years, we’ve seen how fans flock to our characters, everyone from Grimace to the Hamburglar. But many, especially the new generation, don’t know that’s just the tip of the iceberg. There’s an entire magical world of McDonaldland filled with characters, places, and lore,” said Jennifer “JJ” Healan, McDonald's VP, U.S. Marketing, Brand, Content & Culture.

“And so, for the first time in decades, we are taking fans on a trip to McDonaldland with an immersive experience that taps into the past to create the future. It’s a chance for us to give fans a new, modern way to experience this magical world.”

McDonaldland meals include a new, limited-edition Mt. McDonaldland Shake, the choice of a Quarter Pounder with Cheese or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, fries, and a collectible souvenir.

Both new meals will be available at all McDonald's restaurants beginning Aug. 12.
