Lil Tay Encourages Women to ‘Drop a Link’ Instead of Higher Education After Joining OnlyFans
Lil Tay says all women should "drop a link” after joining OnlyFans.
Lil Tay is once again making waves online, this time encouraging women to start an OnlyFans while denouncing higher education.
On Saturday (Aug. 16), the viral Internet personality took to Instagram to share her latest philosophy on money, work and higher learning. According to Lil Tay, all her followers, particularly women, need to abandon traditional paths in favor of "dropping a link."
"If you're under the age of 25 and you're still working a 9-5 you are a failure," Tay declared. "Like, by then you should've already made your bag, and ladies, every single one of you should drop the link like me. Justliterally just make your bag. Who gives a fuck what anybody thinks."
Tay claimed her family disowned her for her lifestyle choices but dismissed their opinions, insisting she could "buy their whole life" if she wanted to. She didn't stop there as Lil Tay took direct aim at higher education.
"Also fuck an education 'cause Harvard was never gonna help me make 8 figures," she continued. "That's why I dropped out of it and I dropped the link instead."
While Tay didn't clarify exactly what "dropping a link" means, many online have used the phrase to refer to people giving out their OnlyFans link, where many people, especially adult content creators, sell content through the subscription-based platform.
The controversial online figure previously claimed she made a million in less than three hours of debuting her OnlyFans account made immediately after turning 18.
The statements drew mixed reactions, with some fans praising her for rejecting traditional career paths while others criticized her for discouraging education and belittling young people still building their careers.
"Sorry girl but I'm going to college," wrote one fan. Another said, "So being a doctor means I'll be a failure?"
A third person said, "If you ain't listening to lil tay by now you are trying to be a failure."
Lil Tay, who rose to fame as a child influencer known for her brash persona and extravagant flexing, has long courted controversy.
