Rob Lowe has revealed Tom Cruise knocked him out one time while on break from filming the 1983 cult classic The Outsiders.

During his visit to The Rich Eisen Show, Lowe reflected on one of his favorite stories with Cruise, which involved the two men boxing each other in a hotel. According to the story, Lowe was 17, while Cruise was 18, and they would exercise together alongside Outsiders co-star Emilio Estevez.

At one point during the filming, Lowe and Cruise put on boxing gloves and began sparring. Lowe would make contact with one of his punches and daze Cruise, but that only lasted for a while as the Mission Impossible actor rocked Lowe to sleep in retaliation.

"He's so competitive that we used to we used to box in the hallway of the hotel we were staying during Outsiders. So much testosterone, we're 18-year-old guys right, stuck on location," Lowe said. "So we would wear headgear, and we'd have mouthpieces in, but we would legitimately spar and I just remember Tom was jacked. I'm like a pipe cleaner arm, I hadn't started working out yet, okay, so I look like Karen Carpenter."

He continued, "I am not jacked, and Tom is like this beast, but I hit him real clean, and I rang his bell, and the next thing I knew, I woke up. I was coming to on the floor, and he like completely knocked me out. I hit him and his eyes just went black."

Tom Cruise is one of those people that almost everyone has a story of. In May, Glen Powell recalled when his Top Gun: Maverick co-star pranked him by pretending to lose control of an aircraft they were in. According to Powell, Cruise was flying the helicopter when he thought it was funny to act like he was losing control and lowering the aircraft's altitude.

"Tom goes 'oh no, oh no,' and he starts dropping the helicopter over London," shared Powell. "I was like, 'Am I about to be the unnamed guy that dies with Tom in a smoking hole in the middle of London?'"
