People Are Revisiting Timothee Chalamet's History as a Sports Fan

Timothée Chalamet surprised fans last weekend with his knowledge of college football, and now people are finding out how deep his love for sports really is.
Over the weekend, Chalamet showed up as a guest on ESPN's College GameDay to pick which teams would secure a victory on the day. Chalamet wowed fans and the GameDay crew by selecting teams based on legit stats and player percentages.
It didn't take long for Chalamet's appearance on the Saturday morning show to go viral, and it led people to investigate how much of the sports world he really knew.
Over the following days, people shared all sorts of evidence of Chalamet diving into the sports world. One person found an old photo of Chalamet at 14 years old getting a New York Knicks jersey signed by Amar'e Stoudemire outside of a Broadway show.
Another person unearthed a picture of Chalamet meeting former Knicks players Landry Fields and Andy Rautins for a competition to win two tickets to a game at Madison Square Garden. Fields tweeted that Chalamet had won the contest and met him and Rautins at Grand Central in New York City to secure his tickets.
Fans also found a photo of Chalamet posing alongside young Joe Gomez, now a Liverpool soccer player, after they competed against each other in a youth game.
On X, Chalamet even got some love from Stephen A. Smith, whom the actor mentioned during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.
Chalamet said that he dreams of having a sports reporter or analyst gig like Smith if the acting well runs dry. The comment led the legendary sports journalist to say he'll give Chalamet pointers whenever needed.
"I see you little bro," Smith said. "Down to show you the ropes whenever."
