As the 2012 NFL Draft came to a close this past weekend, Nike kept the party going by taking over NYC and hosting a series of gridiron-themed events. For the first event on Friday, the Swoosh constructed a football field in Times Square and had two teams, captained by Justin Tuck and Mark Sanchez with stars including Ace Hood, Stalley, and NFL hall-of-famer Ronnie Lott, go head-to-head. The next day, Nike had a large group of runners gather at 21 Mercer with their Fuel Bands for a three mile jog along the Hudson river to Pier 46. The pier featured another football field and a track allowing the runners to try their luck at the 40 yard dash, agility drills, and passing drills. Victor Cruz and Dwayne Bowe closed out the night with some inspirational words to the crowd. All in all, Nike put together a weekend full of events that made everyone aware that Life is a Sport, and that they should always #makeitcount.
