Netflix Green Lights Animated Series 'Tuca & Bertie' Starring Tiffany Haddish
Tiffany Haddish adds another project to her plate.
The team behind Netflix's animated adult comedy Bojack Horseman is set to produce a new series which will bring Tiffany Haddish on as an executive producer and lead voice actor. The show, Tuca & Bertie, will focus on two 30-something birds who strike a friendship while living at the same apartment building.
The art style might look familiar, as Tuca & Bertie's animation is being handled by Shadowmachine, the same studio that brought Bojack Horseman to life. Fellow Bojack supervising producer, Lisa Hanawalt is on board as the show's creator. Haddish will voice Tuca, a carefree toucan, while her neurotic neighbor Bertie, has yet to be officially cast.

After her breakout role in Girls Trip, Haddish has been wasting no time in making major moves. In addition to joining fellow Bojack creators, Raphael Bob-Waksberg, Noel Bright, and Steven A. Cohen as an executive producer on the new animated series, she's got a ton of other projects lined up this year. Haddish is set to appear alongside Tracy Morgan on TBS' The Last O.G. and opposite Kevin Hart in the September-release of Night School.
Tuca & Bertie doesn't have a release date as of yet, but it has already received the greenlight for a 10-episode straight-to-series premiere on Netflix.
