Edward Snowden is truly a hero for the modern age. So much so that the former NSA contractor-turned-whistleblower is being immortalized as a character in a biographic comic book called Beyond: Edward Snowden. The book tells his life story and goes into his motivation for turning whistleblower by leaking classified NSA documents. Its author, Valerie D'Orazio, described Snowden's character and narrative as a way to viably link geek culture and the mainstream. True.

The book will be available digitally and in print on May 21st.
