Angry Birds Maker Now Boasts a Whopping 260 Million Monthly Users

Rovio, creator of the blockbuster smash Angry Birds mobile game, is still thriving over three years after the game made its debut. The company announced today that it now has 260 million monthly active users who play Birds and its various spinoffs, a number that Boy Genius Report points out puts the company ahead of Twitter in terms of audience size.

Angry Birds Star Wars, the latest version of the immensely popular game, has managed to keep the franchise airborn, topping the iTunes App chart for the past 65 days. Amazing Alex's whereabouts, meanwhile, remain unknown.
