Tom Brady and Sofía Vergara have been sparking romance rumors after being spotted looking cozy aboard the superyacht Luminara during its star-studded launch cruise from Rome to Ibiza.

On Wednesday, July 9, Page Six reported that an insider claimed the 47-year-old former NFL star “asked to switch seats to sit next to [Vergara] at dinner” during the yacht-launch gala — a move that allegedly led to the pair spending more time together and eventually being photographed looking quite happy.

Both Brady and Vergara, 53, have been single in recent years — Brady since his 2022 split from ex-wife Gisele Bündchen, and Vergara following her 2023 divorce from Joe Manganiello.

Setting sail from Rome, Italy, the superyacht kicked off its maiden voyage with drone shows and performances by Ellie Goulding, Sting, and Janelle Monáe. According to the outlet, A-list guests included Martha Stewart, Naomi Campbell, Kendall Jenner, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Colman Domingo, and more — all spotted enjoying the spectacle.

The Modern Family icon began sharing her Mediterranean escape in early July — with her first Ibiza post appearing on July 4, just one day after the Luminara’s Rome-to-Ibiza voyage ended — confirming her getaway flowed seamlessly from yacht to island.

While Brady and Vergara's cozy dinner aboard the Luminara caught attention, there haven’t been any other public sightings of the two since. So was it just a spark at sea or the start of a summer fling?

Their time together came shortly after Brady attended Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy in June. He was also seen vacationing on a separate yacht with his daughter, Vivian, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen.

In addition to Vivian, the seven-time Super Bowl champion is also dad to son Benjamin, 15, with Bündchen, 44, and son Jack, 17, from his previous relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
