The 25 Best "Texts From Hillary"

After over a decade of pantsuits and clunky headbands, it was hard to imagine that Hillary Clinton would become a trendsetter. But, despite herself, she has. For a brief moment in time, Hillary was queen of the Internet, surpassing even LOLCats with the Tumblr, "Texts From Hillary."

The blog is the brainchild of Washington, D.C. based communication professionals Adam Smith and Stacy Lambe, a phenemenon spawned when the two came across the now infamous photo Time Magazine photographer Diana Walker captured of Hillary Clinton on a C-17 military plane, sunglasses on, nonchalantly texting. Who was she texting? Smith and Lambe (along with the Internet at large) envisioned Hillary sending smug, self-assured texts to everyone from former U.S. representative Anthony Weiner to Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour.

Smith and Lambe's vision was so slick that it caught the eye of the Secretary of State herself, who invited them to the State Department and sent her own submission to the blog, thanking them for "the lolz" and signing it "Hillz." After meeting Madame Secretary last week, the duo did the unthinkable—they ended their beloved blog. After "32 posts, 83,000 shares on Facebook, 8,400 Twitter followers [and] over 45K Tumblr followers," according to Smith and Lambe, they decided to "stop while [they] are ahead," adding "memes really do come true."

The meme, no doubt, will live on in the hands of the Web, but to remember how one photo achieved the impossible (making Hillary look cool as hell), we're looking back on The 25 Best "Texts From Hillary." The blog may have stopped producing, but Hillz' Blackberry still gets killer reception.
