British-Nigerian actor Damson Idris, known for his roles in Snowfall and the upcoming Formula 1 film F1, joined comedian Amelia Dimoldenberg on her interview series Chicken Shop Date, and the two had instant chemistry.

The actor and entrepreneur met up with Dimoldenberg on Friday, July 11, at Slim Chickens in London for their date that quickly had fans reacting online.

The playful banter between Idris, 33, and Dimoldenberg, 31, sparked many viral moments, such as Idris's comment, "it's hotter than Satan's toenails in here."

"Rule number one: don't wear leather pants to a date," Dimoldenberg responded, to which Idris replied, "Or maybe you're the one making me hot."

"This episode actually feels like a date," said one YouTube commenter. Another top comment on the video said, "'Damson in distress' had him speechless!" referencing a quip that Dimoldenberg had made during the interview.

The chemistry between the two Millennial rising stars caught the attention of fans outside of YouTube, as well. A clip from the episode began making the rounds on Reddit, in which Dimoldenberg asked Idris, "Is there a character that you would love to play?". Without missing a beat, Idris replied with, "Your boyfriend."

"The smoothest game I've ever seen 😭 I didn't know that kisses on the hand were back, but they are so back." said one Redditor.

The interview has already gained 1.6 million views since it was uploaded to YouTube 4 days ago.

Dimoldenberg created the hit YouTube interview series Chicken Shop Date nearly 11 years ago, with the YouTube comedian meeting "dates" in fried chicken restaurants around the UK. The series boasts over 100 episodes so far and has featured guests such as Billie Eilish, Andrew Garfield, Bella Hadid, and of course, Damson Idris.
