Ed Sheeran Wears a Wedding Gown in New Music Video With an Unexpected Guest
In his latest music video for 'A Little More,' the singer surprises fans by wearing a wedding gown alongside costar Rupert Grint.
Singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran has thrilled fans by bringing back a character he created 14 years ago, featuring a beloved guest star in the process.
Actor Rupert Grint, known for his role in Harry Potter, has teamed up once again with the Grammy-winning singer after more than ten years. Their surprising collaboration takes on an unexpected and surreal twist in Sheeran’s newest music video.
Back in 2011, Sheeran’s “Lego House” music video featured Grint as a crazed superfan. The video shows Grint’s character breaking into Sheeran’s tour bus, sneaking backstage, and eventually walking onstage to a roaring crowd that confuses him for Sheeran, until security steps in and tackles him.
In the latest video by Sheeran, 34, for his single titled "A Little More," Grint's character is shown leaving prison after 14 years. His character seems to pass by Sheeran, who’s dressed as a guard, although it quickly becomes clear he’s imagining things. Grint starts seeing visions of Sheeran everywhere, even during therapy and at a “Stalkers Anonymous” support group.
The final scene of the music video shows the two redheads dancing together, with the "Shape of You" singer wearing a wedding dress.
Sheeran shared some behind-the-scenes clips to his Instagram, saying, "I hadn’t worked with @rupertgrint in 14 years since Lego house, so didn’t know if he’d say yes to this idea. But I’m so glad he did. It’s such a fun, bonkers video."
Fans of both the actor and the musician weren't shy about sharing their excitement for the music video and collaboration.
"This video is better than anything I could have imagined!! It’s now my favorite video of yours!! The icon ginger duo strikes again!!" says one comment on Instagram. Another person said, "Expecto genius!" referencing a Harry Potter spell.
The single featured in Sheeran's new video will appear on his newest album, Play. Play is set for release on September 12.
