Popular YouTuber Hit With Emotional Abuse Claims From Ex in Viral TikTok
Gaming YouTuber CoryxKenshin faces backlash after his ex-girlfriend accused him of emotional abuse and manipulation
American YouTuber Cory DeVante Williams, known as CoryxKenshin, is facing allegations of manipulation and emotional abuse via TikTok.
On Sunday, July 13, TikTok user @pandaninjaxxofficial posted a series of videos recounting the toxicity of her romantic relationship with Williams, 32.
In the viral TikTok videos, the user — whose real name has not been publicly disclosed — accused Williams of love-bombing, gaslighting, manipulation, narcissistic behaviors, and emotional and mental abuse.
In the first video, titled “The Truth About Your Favorite YouTuber,” @pandaninjaxxofficial presented a series of slides outlining how the YouTuber allegedly “ghosted” her as a way to “teach her a lesson.” Reflecting on the experience, she said, “You made me feel like I had to shrink just to earn a reply. Every move was calculated, even if I couldn’t see it back then.”
In another video, the user claims, “I dated Cory Kenshin… and he hurt me really bad… and I’m not the only one.”
The user's videos have been gaining millions of views, with the allegations quickly going viral in the gaming community and amongst fans of the YouTuber. Fan reactions have ranged from criticism for both the accuser and Williams, as well as disbelief about the allegations.
"crazy yall switching up on him 🤣 he hasnt even EXPLAINED his side of the story, dont be jumping into conclusions like that, wait it out for HIS reply bc its HIM saying it, not his fans but himself, whenever this video comes out, it will reveal what truly happened," one user wrote on Instagram.
One commenter on the creator's TikTok said, "You went through so much I kept reading every thing you wrote and I just felt like with every word it got harder to keep going. The fact that you are still here with us means that there is a plan for you and you will keep achieving success and evolving. Remember you will always have people in your corner that want the best for you ❤️"
Williams originally began his YouTube channel back in 2009 with comedy sketch videos. He then transitioned into posting gaming content from games such as Five Nights at Freddy's and Elden Ring.
As of now, Williams has not addressed the claims.
