Party Under The Blacklight With The New Sour Patch Kids Glow Ups

Sour Patch Kids has been a top-tier candy since…forever. It’s sour then sweet taste makes it a go-to whenever you’re in the candy aisle. So, when the beloved candy decided to switch things up and create a new flavor, fans were intrigued.

Say hello to Sour Patch Kids Glow Ups. The new strawberry-watermelon flavored gummy candy is layered with edible confetti that emits a fluorescent glow when under a blacklight due to the use of turmeric extract.

The turmeric is what powers the glow, but it doesn’t affect the taste, which allows you to savor the new flavor. To celebrate the newest addition to the family, Sour Patch Kids and Complex are throwing a Blacklight Dance party, aptly titled, Sour Patch Kids Glow Ups Blacklight Party.

It is only right that fans have an opportunity to experience the glow firsthand at a one-of-a-kind event, headlined by the spectacular Alison Wonderland,”

On June 5, attendees will get to immerse themselves in an experience like never before. Held at 99 Scott in Brooklyn, NY, attendees will see DJ Alison Wonderland perform a live set under total blacklight, which will not only make the Sour Patch Kids glow, but also (Dun! Dun! Dun!) you!

But that’s just the beginning.

Guests interested in sprucing up a bit will get to beautify themselves at the Blacklight Beauty Bar with exclusive Hally Hair gems, custom tattoos, and glow-under-blacklight face painting. Vending machines with Sour Patch Kids Glow Ups will be available for anyone who wants to try or for those who simply can’t get enough (either is fine).

And if party-goers look closely… they may even have a chance to win VIP tickets to one of New York’s biggest music festivals.
