Katie Couric Has Invited Sarah Palin to Appear on Her Talk Show For Another Round

Katie Couric's 2008 interview with Sarah Palin is, without a doubt, infamous for its cringeworthiness - behold - but that hasn't stopped Couric from inviting John McCain's former running mate to appear on her new talk show for a second round. 'Cause, you know, ratings gold and all.

Speaking to reporters in Los Angeles today, Couric revealed that she had asked Palin, in addition to "both candidates" - AKA, President Barack Obama and GOP candidate Mitt Romney - to come on her new show, Katie, which is set to premiere on September 10. Unfortunately for the world, according to Couric there's been no response from Palin's camp "yet." So maybe hold back from placing your bets on Couric vs. Palin: Round Two for now, guys.
