Adin Ross is disputing widely circulated claims of him being made the subject of some sort of a “ban” in the Los Angeles area.

As fans will note, such claims have been made amid ongoing commentary on this year’s historic back-and-forth between Kendrick Lamar and Drake. Specifically, Adin’s well-documented Drake support has led to a lot of talk on social media of a supposed “ban,” though the streaming personality has since pushed back against by stating that he doesn’t “give a fuck” about any such thing.

"I’m not banned from LA, bro," Ross said in a recent video. "I wish somebody would. I swear to God. I’m gonna go to LA, nobody’s gonna do shit to me. I promise you, bro. I don’t give a fuck. You think I’m scared of LA? What? I lived in LA for years and years and years."

Ross continued, "I’m not banned from LA. Fuck that old ass motherfucker on that podcast, bro. I’ll smack the shit out of you. Well, not me. But I’m gonna have security smack the fuck of you."

In another recent clip, Ross asserts that he will pursue legal action in connection with remarks he says constitutes as a threat.

“Go to jail for the rest of your life. It’s so worth it, bro. Your shitty life,” Ross said while watching back the FMW clip in question, adding that he has access to “the best lawyers of all time.”

Earlier this week, controversy started to mount in response to Toronto artist Top5’s appearance on a stream with Ross and Akademiks. Amid coverage of Ross’ latest remarks, namely ones of the “I’m not banned” variety, those who have been following this story on a micro level have offered no shortage of criticism with regards to said coverage. Namely, some have argued that coverage is being presented in a way that unfairly suggests a more one-sided situation.

Meanwhile, Metro Boomin, whose name was also mentioned during Top5's controversial Ross and Ak stream, recently took a decidedly diplomatic approach when asked about Drake and Kendrick during a Forbes panel.

"The internet just makes it a little too wild now," Boomin said earlier this week. "But I feel like it’s good for the game and as far as me being diplomatic, it’s just entertainment at the end of the day. I have love and respect for all my collaborators."

Next for Kendrick is headlining the 2025 edition of the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. The announcement of Kendrick having secured the gig in Lil Wayne's hometown was met with weeks of debate, all leading up to a moment of vulnerability on the topic from Weezy himself.
