Drake Bell has a pretty, pretty, pretty good idea for how to bring back Drake & Josh, and this is me pitching myself as the one who could help him make this vision a reality.

In a recent interview on the Behind the Velvet Rope podcast, Bell, whose latest album Non Stop Flight arrived back in October, was asked if he had any interest in revisiting his Drake & Josh character, Drake Parker. As fans know, he and Josh Peck (who played Josh Nichols on the show) led the Nickelodeon hit for four seasons and two films.

“I have a really special place in my heart for Drake & Josh,” Bell said. “I would love to revisit the character. I’d love to revisit something with Josh.”

While Bell seems open to a reboot in the traditional sense, he sounds more charged up about a far more compelling idea: Curb-ify it.

“My dream is to do something kind of like Curb Your Enthusiasm where we’re playing ourselves but trying to navigate life today,” Bell said. “Maybe I‘m trying to get him back together with me and he’s like, ‘Dude, you’re annoying. Get away.’ I don’t know what it is but I would love to do some kind of Entourage, Curb Your Enthusiasm type thing with Josh one day. It’d be awesome to also revisit something where it brings the whole cast back.”

Curb, of course, saw Seinfeld co-creator Larry David playing a version of himself, which allowed the long-running comedy to build onto the Seinfeld universe while simultaneously deconstructing it. It’s not hard to imagine a hypothetical Drake & Josh continuation in this same vein being a success, as the differing paths the series’ two leads have taken in the years since, not unlike the paths taken by David and Seinfeld, no doubt boast some inherent hilarity.

For example, one entire season could hinge on Peck’s Oppenheimer casting, while another could explore Bell’s recent appearance on The Masked Singer. Even better, you could weave the world of Curb into that of the meta continuation of Drake & Josh, with a separate fictional Larry perhaps not taking too kindly to the idea of his series serving as inspiration for a Nickelodeon reboot of sorts.

All that to say I'm here, I'm available, and I look forward to hearing from Bell's people.
