Halle Berry has detailed the rather extensive list of injuries she says she’s endured across her 30-plus-year acting career, including a broken middle finger.

At the top of a recent interview alongside Mark Wahlberg, her co-star in Netflix’s upcoming film The Union, the Oscar and Golden Globe winner first revealed that she’s been "knocked out three times." Berry then got more specific, with her resulting candor pointing to the resilience required to become a star of her caliber. Per Berry, her filmography has seen her sustaining the following injuries:

  • Broken arm
  • Broken ribs (two ribs in one incident, three in another)
  • Broken tailbone
  • Broken toes (two)
  • Broken middle finger

"What about you?" Berry asked Wahlberg, who also gave fans his own boo-boo rundown. Playfully, the actor included a repeatedly bruised ego in his own list of injuries.

From there, the duo spoke about the various skills they’ve been tasked with mastering across their time in the industry. Berry also looked back on a seemingly perilous lighting-related experience she says she had while shooting 2004’s Catwoman, calling it the "dumbest moviemaking moment of all time."

The Union, directed by Julian Farino and also starring Mike Colter and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, hits Netflix this Friday. Catch the trailer below.

In July, the aforementioned Catwoman marked its 20th anniversary. While the film was not well received upon its release, the film has undergone somewhat of a softer reassessment in recent years. Berry herself commemorated the anniversary with a cats-themed social media update, telling fans the character "will always be close to my heart." Previously, she’s defended the film in a more tongue-in-cheek manner, like back in 2018 when she pointed out that the film netted her "a shitload of money that changed my life."
