Walter Palmer, the asshole dentist behind the brutal murder of Zimbabwe's Cecil the Lion, has — in the days since being outed as the culprit alongside his hunting partner and a local landowner — somehow managed to further reaffirm his profound assholery by refusing to admit that only a professional sociopath would consider killing a harmless animal for sport as something in the neighborhood of "fun." In a statement released to the press, Palmer took responsibility — but only under the cowardice guise of the word "take" and related variations, as such:

Thankfully, the internet is not letting Palmer off easy. As previously reported, the Yelp page associated with Palmer's dental practice was immediately bombarded with images of Palmer posing with a variety of murdered animals alongside some well-played typed criticism. Joining the public criticism of both Palmer and the bizarre Rich Person Activity that births such tragedies in the first place is Jimmy Kimmel, who delivered a rousingly perfect monologue on Tuesday's Jimmy Kimmel Live! centered on Cecil the Lion.

"Is it that difficult for you to get an erection?" asks Kimmel, before suggesting Palmer simply take "a pill for that" to prevent himself from "being the most hated man in America who never advertised Jell-O pudding on television." Expressing the same utter disbelief as much of his viewers, Kimmel (understandably) gets a bit choked up before suggesting that those angered by Palmer's rich idiocy "make [that anger] a positive" by donating to the Wildlife Conservation Research Unit.
